Diary of an ambitious boy

Hussain Khalid Mirza

Diverse group of young people allocating their budget to help others.

I have some dreams that I want to see fulfilled. I dream that every child in my country shouldn’t be obsessed with American media. At first, I thought this addiction to screens was just a common issue in my own household, but as I’ve grown up, I’ve noticed this trend spreading throughout my nation. My peers are increasingly captivated by animated characters and superheroes.

Fostering Cultural Pride and Fairness in My Country

I dream that in my country, we shouldn’t feel hesitant about speaking our own native languages. I do not want to find people shying publicly using regional idioms and cultural expressions. In the same way, they use it in their homes. Our hearts should represent the core Goodness, rather than only appearing on the surface. In my country, I dream that people in my country do not unfairly judge working women and label them with some sympathy.

Building Unity and Empathy in Our Nation

I envision a place where the lower socioeconomic classes don’t suffer from an inferiority complex. I dream of a nation where every citizen feels the pain of another more than their own. I dream that my country could come together as one, just like we do during a major sporting event, particularly when our national teams play. I want to see people adopting the following qualities:

  • Eradicating the inferiority complex among lower socioeconomic classes
  • Fostering a society where citizens embrace empathy over self-centeredness
  • Uniting as one nation, much like the enthusiasm during major sporting events

Empowering the Youth for a Caring Society

I hope that the youth in my country allocate some of their monthly budget to help the less fortunate. Similarly, they spend on indulgences like cigarettes and recreational substances. In my country, I dream that people do not tag husbands with terms as weak for helping their mothers, sisters, and wives with household chores. I dream of living in present without constantly worrying about my future, career, and financial well-being. Lastly, I hope people do not judge women for their modest attire, and mothers do not face criticism for educating their children for a brighter future.
